Around 350 students of more than 50 different nationalities began the 2023/2024 academic year on 11 September at the Faculty of Human Sciences with a welcome day for the new Master's and PhD students.

The afternoon began with a meet and greet between the students and the coordinators of each course, followed by a tour of the campus.

The welcome session began with a speech by Professor Nelson Ribeiro, Director of the FCH. This was followed by a speech by Professor Margarida Gaspar de Matos, Guest Speaker, and the Rector, Professor Isabel Capeloa Gil.

To wrap up the day, a cocktail party was held to encourage socializing among all the students who will be an integral part of the FCH in the years to come.
