Between July 10 and 31, the Faculty of Human Sciences welcomed 40 students from Macao to take part in the Summer Program in Portuguese Language and Culture of the Católica Languages and Translation at FCH-Católica.

This program aims to offer an immersive experience in the Portuguese language, combined with exposure to various aspects of the country’s culture. This year’s edition featured two core components: an intensive Portuguese language course (totalling 45 hours) and a cultural module with 18 hours of classes focused on Portuguese culture, history, cinema, contemporary art and music.

Over the course of three weeks, participants deepened their linguistic and cultural knowledge while engaging directly with contemporary Portuguese society and academic life at Católica.
