Acquiring basic knowledge on the nervous system and its relationship to behavior. The objectives thus include: To acquire basic knowledge on neurophysiology, neurochemistry and neurobiology, required for a basic understanding of neural communication. To accquire basic knowledge on neuroanatomy, which enables students to locate and describe the nervous system structures interrelated with cognitive functions. To acquire the necessary knowledge towards an integrated view of the nervous system. To accquire skills for the autonomous research of the respective relevant literature.
