Full Professor at the FCH – the Faculty of Human Sciences, UCP – Catholic University of Portugal. He is also, since June 2013, Director of the Center of Philosophy Studies of the same university. Between 2007 and 2011, the Scientific Coordinator of the research project "The Reception of the French Revolution by the German Philosophy", funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology, he has lectured the subjects of History of Contemporary Philosophy, History of Modern Philosophy and Philosophy of Knowledge. His main interests in research currently focus on the Phenomenology of Edmund Husserl. He has published essays and articles in Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, USA and Brazil, a member of the Iberian Network of Fichtean Studies and a founding member of the Portuguese Association of Phenomenological Philosophy, and sat on its Board of Directors between 2007 and 2012.
