Introduction to Communication

5.5 ECTs / Semester / Portuguese

This subject introduces the study of communication in a broad perspective, relating it to social dynamics, identity, working life, organizations, technology and contemporary culture. The course enables students to master fundamental concepts in communication studies; to relate the material and apply this to concrete examples; to display their capacities for critical reflection on the phenomenon of communication in different contexts; and to understand a variety of the challenges currently faced in the communication field and in social and professional life.
