Nuno Piçarra obtained his PhD degree from Universidade do Algarve and has been, since 2022, a Guest Assistant Lecturer at Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Between 2020 and 2021, he was a postgraduate researcher at ISCTE – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, working in the project “Awesome: Awareness While Experiencing and Surfing on Movies through Emotions.” He is a full member of CRC-W: Católica Research Centre for Psychological, Family and Social Wellbeing. His research focuses on the application of Social Psychology (attitudes, social cognition, and emotions) in order to understand interactions with emerging technologies. He is the author of several publications on human behaviour and technology, with a particular focus on the use of social robots.
