PhD in Environmental Health by the Lisbon Medical School, University of Lisbon. Is an Invited Assistant Professor of the Faculdade de Ciências Humanas of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa and researcher at the Católica Research Centre for Psychological, Family and Social Wellbeing (CRC-W) since 2020. She collaborates also as a researcher at the IMM-Lopes lab and ISAMB, both from the Lisbon Medical School. It’s currently active member of several international. Is the Portuguese representative of the international Global Chrono Corona Study (GCCS); together with Till Roenneberg (LMU Munich and Chronsulting, Germany) coordinates the collaborative study EuroSleep. Is author of several publications in biological rhythms and sleep; shift work, circadian rhythm sleep-wake disorders, and also with the general population. Special focus on trying to understand the impact of circadian disruption in the physical mental and cognitive performance of individuals and to understand its relationship with the different human chronotypes.
