Monday, December 4, 2023 - 16:01

On November 28th, a partnership agreement was signed between The Lisbon Consortium and Brotéria - Associação Cultural e Científica. The protocol was signed by Prof. Isabel Capeloa Gil, director of The Lisbon Consortium and rector of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Prof. Alexandra Lopes, member of the steering committee of The Lisbon Consortium and vice-dean of the Faculty of Human Sciences, and Father Francisco Mota, director of Brotéria.

Brotéria was founded in 1902 and began as a Christian-inspired cultural publication, published monthly by the Portuguese Jesuits. Today, "Brotéria is no longer just a magazine," as the website says, "today it is part of the multidisciplinary project of the cultural center in Bairro Alto and a rounded way of looking at what surrounds us: offering a serene and rigorous written reflection on the world and contributing to the discussion of today's main themes in literature, politics, art, history, philosophy, religion, and bioethics", through talks, exhibitions, articles, performances, seminars, and workshops.
