The opening session of the 2022/2023 academic year of Master's and PhD programs took place on September 12th at the Faculty of Human Sciences of Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
After a guided tour to the UCP campus, the Faculty of Human Sciences welcomed 300 new students in the Cardeal Medeiros Auditorium.
"This year we welcomed students from 56 different countries, coming from Europe, Asia, North Africa and Middle East, the Americas and Oceania. This reflects our vision of being a global Faculty in which, regardless of their culture and geographic origin, students can share their ideas and expand their horizons through a greater knowledge of the Other" says Professor Nelson Ribeiro, Dean of Faculty of Human Sciences.
The new students heard words of welcome from Professor Nelson Ribeiro, Dean of FCH, Professor Alexandra Lopes, Associate Director of FCH and Guest Speaker, and Professor Peter Hanenberg, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation of UCP.
At the end of the session, the new students had a meeting with the program coordinators followed by a cocktail.
