The Public Tenure Exams in Communication Studies for Professor Rita Figueiras will take place on January 9 and 10, 2025, in the Room Expansão Missionária.

The timetable for the exams is as follows:

January 9, at 3pm - Assessment of the scientific curriculum by Professor Manuel Augusto Meirinho Martins, Full Professor at the Higher Institute of Social and Political Sciences of the Universidade de Lisboa, and Professor Michael Alvin Baum, Full Professor at the Faculty of Human Sciences of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
Professor Richard Grusin, Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and Professor Moisés Adão de Lemos Martins, Emeritus Full Professor at the Institute of Social Sciences at the University of Minho, will be responsible for analysing the report on the programme, content and theoretical and practical teaching methods of the subject ‘Communication Studies II’.
The CV and report will be assessed and discussed for a maximum of two hours.

January 10, 3pm - Summary lesson presented by the candidate and its critical appraisal by Professor Joaquim Mateus Paulo Serra, Full Professor at the Faculty of Arts and Letters of the University of Beira Interior, and Professor Maria Cristina Mendes da Ponte, Full Professor at the School of Social and Human Sciences of the NOVA University of Lisbon.
The summary lesson will last sixty minutes and the discussion can take up to the same amount of time.
