This seminar aims to address the concept of literary canon in Translation Studies. To this end, the different sessions of the seminar will be organised around two specific objectives: to promote the reading and discussion of a set of canonical theoretical texts in Translation Studies and to debate case studies that point out the different, complex, controversial and invisible ways in which translation is present in the genesis of masterpieces of World Literature.
