Fundamental Research in Emotion Processes

Karl Ahs / 12 ECTS / Semester / English

This seminar has one major purpose – to be an eye-opener for today’s rich and diverse research in Emotion Psychology, both fundamental and applied to diverse contexts and problems. We aim to provide students with a solid background on emotion theory, on major schools, prominent researchers and current debates, allowing them to place their interests a and research questions within the vast realm of theoretical and technical approaches. By enabling students to have a privileged contact with key researchers and topics in a winter conference, they will also
be able to focus on a topic and deepen their knowledge of it by writing an essay on one of the talks which also encompasses reviewing related papers.
