Ethics and Deontology of Communication

5 ECTS / Semester / Portuguese

Introducing students to the contemporary problems of ethics and the ethics of communication. Mastering problems with intelligence and critical thinking: themes, texts and philosophical positions of the ethical theories.

Understand the principles and the dimensions of deontology. Know how to respond to the deontological challenges that professionals face in everyday communication practices, particularly in journalism, advertising and public relations. Understand and analyse national and international paradigmatic cases. Apply deontological standards to specific cases.
