As part of the "Health Promotion and Well-being" course of the Master's in Psychology of Well-being and Health Promotion at the Faculty of Human Sciences, students were invited to develop community actions, in partnership with AJU Foundation, CrescerSer, Irmãzinhas dos Pobres, and the Universidade de Terceira Idade. These projects included topics such as self-care during pregnancy and postpartum, positive aging, social and emotional skills for children and youth, and family resilience.
The Professor and Program Coordinator, Rita Francisco, highlights that the work proposed to the students involved the implementation of health promotion actions in the community, providing a practical and direct experience with different groups. "It was a unique opportunity for the students to come into contact with the reality of the institutions and develop actions that, in addition to enriching their learning, contributed to the improvement of the participants' well-being."
The course "Health Promotion and Well-being" is included in the 1st semester of the 1st year of the master's degree.
