Hoi Sun Chin, Wan Teng Iong and Angelina Andrade de Aguiar, students of the Faculty of Human Sciences, guided by Guanyu Cheng, won the “Special Award for Higher Education Institutions in Portuguese-speaking Countries” category, in the Sixth World Chinese-Portuguese Translation Competition.

“This award is our learning process in Portuguese translation. It is a great encouragement for us, and we hope that everyone who is learning Portuguese can continue to move forward on this road and that together we can create a better future”, the students stated.

The Sixth World Chinese-Portuguese Translation Competition is organized by the Education and Youth Development Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government and the Macau Polytechnic University. This year there were more than 100 applications from about 40 Universities from mainland China, Macau and Portuguese-speaking countries.
