Rita Vieira, a third year student on the undergraduate degree in Communication and Cultural Sciences, had her application selected for the Gulbenkian New Talents Programme, in the field of Social Sciences.

This programme aims to award scholarships to students with exceptional achievements in Portuguese higher education in the areas of basic sciences, humanities, arts and social sciences, promoting their talent and stimulating research initiation.

In addition to monetary support of up to €3,500, the scholarships also include an immersive talent enrichment programme, with the scholarship holders supported by tutors and a scientific committee who accompany them throughout their research work. The programme also includes scientific retreats that combine scientific activities with cultural and social activities in the Gulbenkian Foundation environment.
