Invited Associate Professor at the Faculty of Human Sciences (FCH) of Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP). She is currently teaching ‘European Integration’ at FCH and ‘The Political Economy of European Integration’ at Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics. She is also an integrated member of CICP-University Évora. She has extensively lectured and published on political economy and European integration. She was Visiting Senior Fellow at the London School of Economics and the RSCAS-European University Institute, Florence, and an Academic Visitor at University of Oxford. Other research/teaching positions included the Centre for European Policy Studies, Brussels, the International Centre for Economic Research, Turin, the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, the University Victoria, B.C., King’s College London, the University of Pisa, the National Institute for Public Administration (Programme Chair, 2011-2020) and Aveiro University (Visiting Associate Professor). She studied at the TU Berlin and the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, and obtained her PhD in Economics from the European University Institute in 1990.
