CECC's researcher Isadora de Ataíde Fonseca is one of the editors of the new book published by Routledge: Creating and Opposing Empire: The Role of the Colonial Periodical Press.

The project results from a selection of panels presented at the IGSCP-PE 2017 congress, mostly focusing on case studies taken from the Portuguese colonial empire. Through an historical perspective, it seeks to acknowledge “the ideas, which… were being moulded in the game between the cultural context of representations and the universality of concepts”.
