The curricular unit aims to provide students with knowledge and skills related to the multi-level system of human rights protection. The purpose is for them to understand the organisation and interplay of courts and other entities that are essential in their defence, to study concrete cases and current issues in order to grasp the difficulties of implementing, supervising and safeguarding these rights, and also to learn about the relationship between human rights law and related areas, such as politics and the humanities, as well as its particular methods of responding to social problems.
