On 16 November 2022, CECC launched Literatura, Artes e Religião: ensaios sobre redenção, the closing event to the colloquium “Arts, Literature and Culture: A Religious Perspective” (Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Lisbon). The book was co-edited by Maria do Rosário Lupi Bello (CECC) and Luiz Felipe Pondé (Labô-PUC S. Paulo), the two coordinators of the research group LCR: Literature, Cinema and Religion.

This first volume aims to demonstrate that culture and religion are two inalienable components of any human expression or movement. Focus is placed on the Judaeo-Christian concept of "redemption", from an interdisciplinary perspective, namely in contemporary literature, arts and thought. The end goal is to offer a thorough reflection on the implications of the religious in the human and the influence of religion on Man’s reflexive and creative expression.
