Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:

1) To identify and discuss the process and challenges in implementing public health policies;
2) To identify the main health determinants and discuss their importance in the development of public health policies;
3) To know the main health indicators in Portugal;
4) To know the health system, the National Health Plan and priority health programs in Portugal;
5) To know the role of psychological and behavioral sciences in the definition of health policies;
6) To argue about the importance of innovation as a public health challenge, using theoretical and methodological knowledge;
7) To understand the main challenges of health systems and the role of psychological sciences in the development of health innovation strategies.
