Psychology of Motivation and Emotion

6 ECTS / Semester / Portuguese
The main goal of this course is that students acquire solid knowledge of vital importance to motivation and emotion in the functioning of humans as biopsychosocial entities. An equally fundamental goal involves students, as future professionals, acquiring updated knowledge on the structures and processes that underpin motivations, emotions and decision-making as well as the main theoretical frameworks that have been put forward to explain these processes. Students who successfully complete this course shall be able to identify current approaches to assessment, intervention and research in the domain of motivation and emotion and reflect critically on their application.
