It is intended that students:

  • Understand and problematize the interrelationship between history and memory
  • Understand the role of the media in the processes of creation and re-creation of collective memory
  • Discuss how history and its re-creation can be used to create nationalist discourses
  • Discuss the role of different file tops in the preservation and creation of collective memory.
