The authors of the four translations awarded in the 21st edition of the “Prémio Traduzir” travelled to Luxembourg for a visit to the Portuguese Translation Unit at the European Parliament. During their visit, the young translators engaged with the team from the Portuguese language unit, gaining insights into the day-to-day operations as well as the experience of working alongside the institution’s professional translators.

The FCH-Católica “Prémio Traduzir” aims to reward the best translations by secondary school students. Prizes are awarded for the best translations into Portuguese of a German, Spanish, French or English text. The award package includes a trip to Luxembourg featuring cultural tourism activities and a guided visit by the European Parliament's Portuguese Translation Unit, a value partner of this FCH initiative.
