Grauben Navas holds a Licentiate degree in Modern Languages from the Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV), awarded in 2004, for which she presented the thesis: “Los ensayos escritos en Inglés como lengua extranjera: el continuo oralidad escrituralidad”. She also holds a Master’s degree in Comparative Literature from the same university (2007). For this degree, she presented the dissertation: “Alter o Alius: imágenes de la literatura de la reunificación alemana”. For most of her professional life, she developed her career in UCV, where she worked as a professor of German Language for undergraduates, Comparative Literature for post-graduates, and of German as a Foreign Language and Spanish as a Second Language for post-graduates majoring in these areas and in specialization courses at Universidad Central de Venezuela. She also worked as a professor in the Goethe Institute in Caracas. Currently, Grauben pursues a Doctorate in “Didática das Línguas - Multilinguismo e Educação para a Cidadania Global” at the Universidade de Nova da Lisboa and the Universidade de Aberta. Her areas of academic and research interest are Spanish and German as a foreign language.
