CECC researcher Marília dos Santos Lopes will be participating in the international colloquium As Cidades na História (Cities in History), jointly organized by Município de Guimarães, Arquivo Municipal Alfredo Pimenta and Casa de Sarmento-Universidade do Minho.

The event will take place in Centro Cultural Vila Flor, in Guimarães, from October 25th to 27th, and dos Santos Lopes’ presentation will be dedicated to the topic of “The commercial dynamics and the metropolis: representations of Chinese cities in 16th and 17th centuries Europe” (“As dinâmicas comerciais e a urbe: representações de cidades chinesas na Europa dos séculos XVI e XVII”).
