On April 4th, 2024, CECC researcher Marília dos Santos Lopes will be giving a lecture on Portuguese travellers in the East and their readers in Europe (title in Portuguese: "Orientes Próximos. Viajantes portugueses e os seus leitores na Europa"), in the aim of the conference cycle Eurasia Crossings. Dynamics of Cross-Cultural Encounters between East and West, organized within the scope of the Asian Studies Lecture Series, which is taking place at the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon (FLUL) from February to May 2024.
