This course discusses the filmic production of a selection of Lusophone filmmakers, whose work represents a landmark in international cinema or innovative approaches to controversial issues. Through a representative corpus, particular attention will be given to mediation processes of audiovisual memory in the revision and rewriting of the nation in aesthetic and ideological terms.
