At the end of the semester each student must:

• Be able to recognize the specificity of History of Ancient Philosophy among the different curricular areas.
• Know the fundamental guidelines of the development of western thought from its early beginnings to the dawn of the Middle Age.
• Know the whole of the matters under study and be able to have a critical view on them
