Acknowledging the specificity of the field of Cultural Studies, a multi- and interdisciplinary area, and the wide range of objects open to examination, the Methods and Objects of Cultural Research seminar aims at promoting the
understanding of key strategies and methodologies, necessary for the study of culture and cultural objects.
The seminar fosters critical thinking and the capacity to develop different types of academic work in a solid and sustained fashion. Students should demonstrate knowledge about culture and the research field, as well as be able to contextualize, interpret and critically analyze the objects of study.
