Antonio Marques-Mendes is a strategic corporate communication expert, and a Senior Lecturer on the BA (Hons) Public Relations and MA Public Relations courses at London College of Communication. He has been working in corporate communication for the last 25 years – devising strategies, conducting research, and managing projects and communication campaigns for companies and institutions internationally. Besides his professional experience, Antonio has been a Professor of Public Relations and Strategic Communications at several universities at master and bachelor level since 1992, joining LCC-UAL in September 2014. Antonio is active in research, strategic advice, strategic reputation management, crisis and issues management and strategic communications management. His areas of expertise and research interests include corporate sustainability, corporate reputation and crisis communications. Antonio completed his Ph.D. in Economic and Organizational Sociology at the University of Lisbon (ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics and Management - Summa Cum Laude). His doctoral thesis explored corporate sustainability strategic maturity, using a mixed methods approach. He holds a MA degree from University of Exeter and a PG Certificate in Academic Practice. He is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Antonio has authored several scientific papers, working papers, conference papers, monographs and book chapters.
