Sara Eckerson

Bio

Sara Eckerson é Professora Auxiliar Convidada na FCH-UCP. É doutorada no ramo de Estudos de Literatura e de Cultura, na especialidade de Teoria da Literatura, pela Universidade de Lisboa (2016). Estudou também na New York University (BA, 2006). As suas principais áreas de investigação são a hermenêutica da música, a estética, a filosofia da música, e as ligações entre literatura e música; a sua atividade de investigação centra-se na música de Beethoven e Handel, e nas obras de John Milton e Herman Melville. É autora de várias publicações nesta área, incluindo sobre a filosofia da música (Teorema), sobre Handel e Milton (Yale Journal of Music & Religion), e sobre Beethoven (Manchester Beethoven Studies, publicado pela Manchester University Press). Tem também colaborado com o conselho editorial de Eighteenth-Century Studies (Johns Hopkins University Press).
