Bio

Investigador no Centro de Comunicação e Cultura da Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Portugal. Antes disso, foi investigador sénior de pós-doutoramento no Departamento de Comunicação e Media da Universidade de Joanesburgo, na África do Sul. É um jornalista experiente, trabalhou para as publicações The Chronicle e The Sunday News no Zimbabué antes de ingressar no Departamento de Jornalismo e Estudos dos Media da Universidade Nacional de Ciência e Tecnologia do Zimbabué. Os interesses de investigação são os estudos de fotografia, memória e jornalismo. O seu trabalho tem sido publicado em revistas locais e internacionais, como Journal of Genocide Research, African Journalism Studies, Critical Arts, Nations and Nationals, Journal of Communication Inquiry e Media, Culture and Society. É autor da monografia Fotografar a luta de libertação no Zimbabué: política, poder e as imagens de Zenzo Nkobi e editou vários títulos, nomeadamente: Padrões de assédio no jornalismo africano; Media, movimentos sociais e culturas de protesto em África Hashtags, humor e slogans; Recordar atrocidades em massa: perspectivas sobre lutas de memória e representação cultural.
