Professora Associada Convidada da Faculdade de Ciências Humanas (FCH) da Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP). Atualmente leciona ‘Integração Europeia’ na FCH e ‘Economia Política da Integração Europeia’ na Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics. Integra também o CICP-Universidade de Évora. Tem lecionado e publicado extensivamente sobre economia política e integração europeia. Foi Visiting Senior Fellow na London School of Economics and Political Science e no Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies do Instituto Universitário Europeu, Florença, e Visitante Académica na Universidade de Oxford. Outros cargos de investigação/ensino incluem o CEPS, Bruxelas, o Centro Internacional de Investigação Económica, Turim, a Rotterdam School of Management, a Universidade de Victoria, no Canadá, o King's College London, a Universidade de Pisa, o Instituto Nacional de Administração (onde também foi Professora Coordenadora Nacional do Programa de Internacionalização e Integração Europeia, 2011-2020) e a Universidade de Aveiro (Professora Associada Convidada). Estudou na Technische Universität Berlin e na University of British Columbia, Vancouver, e obteve o seu doutoramento em Economia no Instituto Universitário Europeu em 1990.
