Licenciada em Psicologia pelo ISPA e Doutorada em Biologia pela Universidade de Lisboa, é desde 2022 Professor Auxiliar convidado no Programa de Doutoramento em Psicologia das Emoções e do Bem-estar.   Investigadora do Centro de Filosofia das Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa, integra atualmente o projeto EVORISE financiado pela FCT. É editora do tópico especial da revista Frontiers in Psychology The Role of Empathy in Behavioral Change Toward Ethical Consumption. As suas principais áreas de investigação são comportamento animal e alternativas à investigação com modelos animais. É autora de várias publicações em revistas internacionais.
