Brian is an experienced operations officer with a good track in government, startups, and the creative industries.  He has served in different capacities for the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry: Programs Chief for Trade and Investment Promotions and Chief Creative Industries Specialist for Design Center of the Philippines, ultimately supporting programmes and policies mainstreaming innovation-led enterprises and creative industries as drivers of economic growth. He also previously worked as Head of Partnerships for Impact Hub Manila, the world’s largest network of impact entrepreneurs, creating programmes and activities to support and incubate impact-driven startups.

He received his BA degree in History with cognate in Political Science from the University of the Philippines; and his MA from Choreomundus: International Master in Dance Knowledge, Practice, and Heritage, an Erasmus+ programme under the consortium of 4 world-renowned institutions in dance and anthropology: Norwegian University of Science and Technology (Norway); University of Clermont Auvergne (France);  University of Szeged (Hungary); University of Roehampton, London (UK).

He continuously navigates the junction of culture, creativity, and innovation for social impact.

Once retired, Brian wishes to put up a small art hostel in one of the islands in the Philippines, preparing breakfast for his guests and providing spaces for young artists to showcase their talent.
