Raquel Trindade is a PhD candidate in Political Communication Studies at the School of Human Sciences (UCP), developing a thesis on the mediatization of political institutions. She holds a Degree in Social and Cultural Communication Studies from the Catholic University of Portugal and a Masters Degree in Communication Studies, specializing in Political Communication. She finished her Masters Degree with a dissertation titled The Parliament in the News: the journalistic coverage of parliamentary activity on television (2015). She is a junior member of the Research Centre for Communication and Culture (CECC). Her main research interests are: media and politics, journalism, political communication, political institutions, press office and mediatization.
