Patrícia Anzini holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from Northwestern University (U.S.) and an MA in Literary Studies from Universidade Estadual Paulista (Brazil). Her research and teaching focus on Lusophone cultures of the nineteenth- and twenty centuries with an emphasis on Brazil, as well as the comparative literature of the hemispheric Americas; poetry and poetics; theory and practice of translation; transnational studies; Brazuca literature; and Walt Whitman. Patrícia also has a longstanding record of experience teaching ESL, EFL, and Portuguese language classes.
