Ana Rato Jorge
PhD in Communication Sciences - Media and Journalism Studies from the Nova University of Lisbon, with a dissertation on Celebrity culture and young people. She completed her undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences in the same university, and a Master's Degree in Sociology of Communication, Culture and Information Technologies at ISCTE. She was a Post-doctoral researcher in the Nova University of Lisbon (2013-15), on the topic of media and consumer cultures among children and young people, with a fellowship from the FCT – the Foundation for Science and Technology. She was a member of national and international projects on the usage of media by children and young people, as well as on media education (EU Kids Online, RadioActive, ANR Translit, Digital Inclusion). She was a Guest Assistant Professor and collaborator at the Nova University of Lisbon and worked as science communication assistant and communication assistant in publicity agencies and companies.
