The Faculty of Human Sciences was distinguished by the Luso-American Foundation for Development (FLAD) under the UP – Higher Education Program, which supports internationalization projects in Portuguese higher education in partnership with universities in the United States of America.
The funding awarded will enable the development of a double master’s degree in Emerging Media and Digital Transformation, a joint project between FCH-Católica and the College of Communication and Information at Kent State University, USA.
This master’s program offers innovative and interdisciplinary training, positioned at the intersection of Communication Sciences with computing and programming. The curriculum is designed to allow students to develop advanced skills in digital and algorithmic communication.
The programme structure includes completing part of the academic path in Portugal and in the United States, as well as developing research work in an international context, providing a truly global learning experience.
This project strengthens the Faculty of Human Sciences’ internationalization strategy and its commitment to distinctive academic programs, aimed at students seeking an international career in the fields of communication, media, and digital transformation.
