On June 30, the first conference of the undergraduate degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) will be held in room 231, starting at 9:30 am, with the topic ‘Addressing Local Problems and Global Challenges’.

For this conference, three university professors who work on important topics in the fields of philosophy, politics and economics have been invited:

Andrei Țăranu – Faculty of Political Science of the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration, em Bucareste
Democracy and Extremism in Romanian Presidential Elections

Vittorio Amatto – University of Naples Federico II, em Nápoles
Navigating the Storm: Geopolitical Shifts, Populist Pressures, and the Future of Globalization

Américo Pereira – Faculty of Human Sciences of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Lisbon
The child who did not address tables. W. L. S. Churchill and the intuitive core of common good

In addition to these three lectures, there will also be presentations by students from all three years of the PPE degree programme:
