The V Colóquio do Atlântico is about the work of “irmãos Arriaga: Filosofia, História e Literatura” and will have four sessions taking place in Lisbon and Horta, Azores.
Colóquios do Atlântico are held annually in mainland Portugal and in the Azores Islands, with the aim of studying relevant Azorean figures of Portuguese thought and culture.
They result from a partnership between Centro de Estudos Humanísticos da Universidade dos Açores, Instituto de Filosofia Luso-Brasileira, the Research Centre for Philosophy of Universidade Católica Portuguesa and Centro de Estudos Interdisciplinares do Século 20 da Universidade de Coimbra. The initiative is sponsored by the Presidency of the Government of the Autonomous Region of the Azores.
The first session will take place on December 4, at 9:30 am, at Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
The works developed in each session will be gathered in a book and presented publicly at the next colloquium.
