On November 13, at 2pm, the Faculty of Human Sciences invites Sofia Moreira de Sousa, Representative of the European Commission in Portugal, to an Open Lecture entitled "European Citizenship and the European Union in the world".
Sofia Moreira de Sousa, who has been working on European issues for more than two decades, was the EU Ambassador to Cape Verde and Deputy of the EU Delegation to the Republic of South Africa before taking on the role of European Commission Representative in Portugal. She was also Principal Adviser to the Deputy Secretary General of the European External Action Service and Political Adviser at the EU Mission to the African Union in Addis Ababa. She was also seconded to the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the EU Council Presidency in 2007 and worked with the EU's High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy.
As part of the "Intersecting Philosophy, Politics and Economics" cycle, this session is open to the entire academic community.
This open class will take place in Room 131 at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
