Program Description
The Post-Graduate Program in Behavior in Business and Economics strives to:
- convey knowledge and skills for applying psychology in the fields of management and the economy;
- investigate the psychological mechanisms underlying the micro, meso and macro economic processes ongoing in contemporary society as well as the ways in which these processes influence human behaviors and wellbeing;
- prepare psychologists to intervene in the most complex and diversified organisational and business contexts resulting from the growing interlinkages between psychology and economy and management.
Methodology
The classroom sessions provide a theoretical-practical foundation focused on the different fields making up the program’s areas of training (Psychology, Economics, Management and Methodologies). Students are encouraged to apply the knowledge acquired both inside and outside the classroom context in their participation and projects, thereby providing an interconnection between the theoretical concepts and their application in diverse professional environments. The sessions are planned according to an after-working hours timetable and with the classes taught in English.
Evaluation
The program follows the continuous evaluation system, based upon the presence and participation in the sessions and educational activities as well as the works carried out (individually and/or in group) and oral presentations and written exams.
