Ana Vilar

Consultant and Entrepreneur
Little Pink Riding Hood, The Netherlands

"I’ve been living in the Netherlands, in Amsterdam for the last six years: I formerly worked for an international organisation, International Baccalaureate, and for the last few years I’ve been adventuring on a personal projects, Little Pink Riding Hood, which is a platform that brings together the work of Portuguese designers in the children’s clothing, accessories and toys segments.

The project is going better than expected and is proving very enriching and already with a physical presence in some Amsterdam stores. I gained great pleasure in taking my degree and also gathered a great deal of knowledge that is still today valuable to all of my professional experience, especially the flexibility and adaptability that it encourages through touching on various different areas.

This cross-subject approach has proven fundamental to enabling me to advance with my personal projects with greater autonomy and confidence, especially in relation to the legal issues related with the accounting and financial fields. The solid language knowledge has also been crucial to the development of this project in particular but also throughout all of my earlier career in the field of consultancy. I was able to provide support to my clients across the most diverse areas for exactly this motive.

If you were to ask me if, going back, would I make the same choice, I would respond in the positive: yes, undoubtedly so."

Catarina Capelo Moreira

Marketing and Sales Strategy Coordinator
SanaExpert GmbH, Alemanha

"I live in Munich and work for a pharmaceutical company. My responsibilities include preparing and managing the online marketing campaigns, the marketing for subsidiaries, for e-commerce, especially Ebay and Amazon, and as well as managing the company’s social networks and blog.

My degree is substantially sought after in Germany due to the range of its curricular structure and the insistence on learning foreign languages alongside the inclusion of key subjects such as Marketing, Digital Communication, Business Management and International Relations. The high level of Católica-Human Sciences demand helped me in meeting the enormous expectations of the job market as well as knowing how to work both individually and as a team.

I was very happy at Católica-Human Sciences, which always helped me become successful and with the knowledge that the degree bestowed on me that enhanced my capacities as a person."

“When I discovered the Applied Foreign Language degree at the Católica-Human Sciences, I only regretted not having discovered it before. It seemed tailored to fit me. I started happy, I left happy and was happy throughout the course. The study program allows for risking and innovating. This degree provokes rational thinking, drives its students to question and to seek out alternatives so that they are able to break down barriers.”
