Assistant Guest Professor at the FCH - Faculty of Human Sciences (UCP – Catholic University of Portugal, Lisbon), and Coordinator of the Institute of Oriental Studies (FCH-UCP), He is also coordinator of the Asian Studies Consortium (FCH-UCP/FL-UL), which includes BA and MA programs in Asian Studies. As a researcher, he is affiliated as senior researcher to CECC – the Research Center for Communication and Culture Studies (FCH-UCP). He has been visiting professor at the University of Macau since 2006 (where he taught as Lecturer between 1990 and 1996). He is Vice-President of the Luso-Indonesian Association for Friendship and Cooperation.
