Studied Languages and Modern Literatures at the Nova University of Lisbon (FCSH-UNL). She holds a Masters Degree in Portuguese Literature (University of Coruña) and a PhD in Literary Theory (University of Lisbon), with a thesis that focuses on Jorge de Sena and Alexandre O'Neill's poetic intents. She was granted a scholarship from the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) to develop her doctoral thesis. Between 2006 and 2008 she was lecturer at the University of Coruña, where she taught graduate courses such as Portuguese Language, Portuguese Literature and Brazilian Literature. In 2012, she joined the Research Centre for Communication and Culture Studies at the Faculty of Human Sciences, where she is currently one of the researchers on "Culture, Translation and Cognition". She was also a member of an FCT funded research project for publishing the correspondence of Jorge de Sena.
