Holding a PhD degree in Culture Studies from UCP – the Catholic University of Portugal and Justus-Liebig University of Giessen (double degree). She also holds a BA in Translation and a Master's Degree in Culture Studies - American Studies from UCP. She was awarded a grant by the FCT – the Portuguese Science and Technology Foundation to conduct research for her PhD project within the scope of the "European PhD-net in Literary and Cultural Studies" international program. She is a researcher at CECC – the Research Centre for Communication and Culture Studies, where she develops her work as member of the research line "Art, Culture and Citizenship". She is also Co-editor of the online journal Diffractions - Graduate Journal for the Study of Culture and Executive Coordinator of The Lisbon Consortium.
