The Scientific Field of the Social Sciences provides training in the Social Services across the three cycles of studies:
- Undergraduate Degree in Social Services;
- Master’s Degree in Social Services;
- Doctoral Degree Program in Social Services through the FCH/UCP — FPCE-UC Inter-university Doctoral Degree Program in Social Services.
This field also runs post-graduate and advanced training programs that do not result in any academic qualification.
The Scientific Field of the Social Sciences also incorporates the NEPPSS— Study and Project Centre for Social and Social Service Policies, which carried on the work of CESSS – Centre of Social Service and Sociology Studies with a significant portfolio of Studies, Social Project Evaluation and Planning Local Development Projects, Social Intervention and Consultancy.
This field also extends its activities to research and development, specifically within the framework of the CEDH – Centre of Human Development Studies – having also published the digital open source journal Locus Soci@l).
